  • Estimated duration of study – two years, a total of 120 ECTS; in double-major study programmes 60 ECTS credits must be obtained in anthropology
  • Requirements and the results of the study programme – The main goal of the graduate study programme is to enable participants to master knowledge in the field of anthropology through the acquisition of skills required for studying and explaining both sociocultural and biological determinants of social life. The imperative of this study level of is to train participants receive for jobs in the fields of education, science, government and certain industries that deal with biological and socio-cultural aspects of social action. The tasks of the study programme are realized through obligatory and optional subject courses, fieldwork and professional practice. During the programme, students are encouraged to work independently and participate in research projects that will train them for interdisciplinary work by adopting an appropriate practical, professional and scientific holistic approach.Graduate students must pass all required exams, write and present seminar papers and fulfill all other prescribed requirements. The study programme ends with a final examination, consisting of a written final thesis that must be publically defensed.
  • The ability to continue to further levels of qualifications – After completing the double major graduate study course, graduates will be qualified to continue their education in a postgraduate level anthropology programme, and will be also be qualified to enroll in postgraduate study course in ethnology and related sciences. Enrolment requirements for other postgraduate programmes at the Faculty of Philosophy and other institutions of higher education, in Croatia and abroad, are specified by their host institutions.
